LATEST WTF 2026 Q2 Edition

The Newcomers Public Edition

Both  editions of  the WTF  (Where To Find an AA meeting) will be sent to the printers in time for  the Q3 2026 Intergroup Meeting on Sunday 9th August 2026 at:

Sunday Parking is free. Buses on Fore Street stop just near the Whipton Lane turn – a few minutes walk from the Centre.
Please try to arrive 10.30-10.45 for a prompt start, so we can finish at 1pm.

The current revision date is now 03/05/26  The public edition is available now, as a pdf download: On This Link.  Please Note that the revision date of the download may be later than the print run date.

The revision date above indicates that all meetings changes received in the EComm email (ecomm.devonc@aamail.org) by that date have been applied to the online WTF.  These may not all be reflected in the printed WTF as each print run is confirmed in advance of the quarterly DCIG meetings.

The Members  Edition PDF

The Members (Confidential) PDF Edition is also kept up to date and available on request by email.  Just email your request to the EComm email:  (ecomm.devonc@aamail.org)

Continuous Updates

These PDF copies are continuously updated as changes are sent to the EComm email. So, downloading the Public Copy from the website or requesting the Members Copy and printing it or keeping it on your phone will give you the latest WTF meeting details.

Updates to printed WTF

Any amendments to your meeting or group details to be included in the next paper WTF need to reach me (email: ecomm.devonc@aamail.org) AT LEAST 10 DAYS (latest) BEFORE
THE NEXT DCIG MEETING to allow the printer time to check, print and return the paper
versions for our meeting

Meetings Summary

In both WTF editions, there is a separate section for Zooms. This Online section lists both Zoom meetings and the Zoom details for any Hybrid meetings. Currently, we have 6 Online Meetings (1 Hybrid and 5 Zooms). There are 36 traditional meetings. So, we have a total of 36 (Trads and Hybrids) plus 5 Zoom only, for a total of 41 meetings.

Print Your Own Copy or Keep it on your Mobile

The downloadable pdf is a colour edition but will print very well in black and white. If you have a printer which can print on both sides, you can make a very decent WTF either in colour or B&W.  This PDF can also be kept on a mobile and use the mobile ‘zoom in’ to read it.

EXETER RESPECT FESTIVAL 6-7th June 2026

 

Exeter Respect Festival 2026 will take place on 6-7  June 2026 at Belmont Park, celebrating diversity under the theme “Different Roots, One Community.”
Please join our AA stand (volunteers to assist are needed & welcome)

I would be grateful if volunteers could help out with our stand for portions of the weekend. Could you please bring this to the attention of your groups and ask whether any members would  be willing and able to help out and, if so, to contact me (saying what hours over the weekend they are able help out with) at pi.devonc@gmail.com.
The hours of the Festival are as follows:
Friday 5th June (evening) – setting up
Saturday 6th June: Festival opens to the public at 11.30am and continues until c. 7pm
Sunday: opens at 11am and continues until c.6.30pm.

Festival Overview (link):  Exeter Respect Festival 2026 marks the 29th anniversary of the event, which began in 1997 to bring communities together and celebrate diversity while promoting respect and inclusion. The festival is free to attendwith symbolic £2 fee for adults and free entry for under 16s. It is alcohol-freeand camping is not available on-site. 

GRATITUDE WEEK – June 10th 2026

Please would GSRs remind their meetings and Group Treasurers:

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) celebrates its 91st anniversary on *June 10, *2026, marking 91 years since Bill W. and Dr. Bob met in Akron, Ohio, on June 10, 1935. This date is recognized as the “birthday” of the Fellowship.

The 91st year emphasizes the enduring, simple approach of “One Day At A Time” (ODAAT) in recovery.

Here in UK, in the late 1980’s a tradition evolved of our AA meetings marking “Gratitude Week” with a separate special cash collection to support the UK AA General Service Office. This is kept separate from the groups regular pot collection.
The traditional suggestion is members donate the current day equivalent to the cost of a typical days drinking for us before we got sober. (A tidy sum for some of us!).
But there is obviously no compulsion or requirement, and any amount at all is very welcome to support AA.

Groups are invited to remit their Gratitude Week collection direct to AA GSO. Indicating in the reference field it’s a Gratitude Week donation. (Account name:  The General Service Board; Sort code: 40-47-31; Account number:  63930408)

Alternatively they can transfer their Gratitude Week collection to the usual DCIG bank account (Acc. name:  Devon Central Intergroup; Acc. number:  33243303; Sort Code:  20 87 94) and I will then consolidate and forward these monies direct to GSO on their behalf. As I did last year.
Again please make reference to “Gratitude Week” so that I can keep these monies separate from the usual T7 contributions to DCIG.

PI Newsletter – April 2026

Welcome to the April 2026 issue of the PI Newsletter.

Officer Changes, Meeting Updates & The Pink Form

For the Website and WTF

Meeting Secretaries or GSRs have an obligation to keep DCIG and GSO up to date with any changes to their meeting times, venue , access, chits and zoom details, where this latter is applicable and don’t forget contact names and phone numbers.  Thankfully,  this generally happens but occasional communication breaks down and this is captured when someone rolls up to a meeting that has changed its time or venue or login or has no wheelchair access etc.  The consequence  for the visitor is plain for all to see – no meeting that day. So please, please keep those meeting updates coming: ecomm.devonc@aamail.org

For the National Website – The Pink Form

Now when you supply the updates to DCIG please please use the National Website Pink Form which will ensure that your meeting details are correct on alcoholics-anonymous.org.uk. The link gets you to the online form and  it takes 10 minutes to enter the update.  You will need all the group information from the Members (Confidential) WTF. Plus names and phones for Secretary, Treasure and GSR plus a postal address for mail.  Only the groups have all of this and it is their responsibility to provide it via the Pink Form.

Updating the Confidential Directory (e.g. registering a new service officer in post) must be done by an existing registered service officer of the Region or Intergroup. The updating process includes a request for an aamail account.
